Nintendo unveiled a life-sized Link statue promoting Tears of the Kingdom recently at Nintendo Live 2022. This gives us a closer look at his arm, which we’ve only had quick looks at so far.
The statue shows off Link’s arm in a level of detail we haven’t seen before. The statue depicts Link holding his glowing green arm with his hand, palm open, holding the green arm in place.
We saw Link acquire his new green arm in the E3 2019 trailer, and we’ve also seen Link in this statue-pose before, standing firm, right hand out, ‘using’ this new power to send a spiked ball back up a hill, or reversing time.
Tt’s likely Link’s new arm could be the key to unlocking new abilities. This could be Tears of the Kingdom’s version of the Sheikah Slate.
Nintendo have shown off unused concept artwork before at GDC 2017. They showed Link having different arm attachments that allowed for new abilties, but ultimately that didn’t make it into Breath of the Wild.
Let me know what you think is going on with Link’s arm in Tears of the Kingdom down in the comments and don’t forget to subscribe to Triforce Times for more Legend of Zelda News.
