The Paraglider is one of the most important items to get in Tears of the Kingdom, and you’ll want to prioritise it to get it early, as it makes getting around much easier. Today I am going to take you through the steps for how to get the Paraglider nice and quickly, so you don’t have to worry about falling out of the sky ever again, in the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
To get the Paraglider you have to make your way off The Great Sky Island, and onto Hyrule below. Once you have umped off the Temple of Time and splashed down onto the Hryule ground, then you’ll want to follow the yellow marker to Lookout Landing. This is a useful hub to check in every now and again as you’ll get quests, armor and upgrades here. Once you are there speak to Purah to complete the quest To The Kingdom Of Hyrule, and you’ll want to start the quest Crisis at Hyrule Castle.
Purah then sends you out to meet Captain Hoz, who is on the outskirts of the castle. Once you have met with Hoz and witness some strange goings on, then make your way back to Purah and report what you saw. Purah will then ask you to explore Lookout Landing while she prepares for the next stage of the quest. Have a chat with the people in the town, explore the Emergency Shelter and make your way to Skyview Tower, with is towards the north west side of Lookout Landing.
While speaking to the people of Lookout Landing you’ll learn about The Towers, how they are spread all around Hryule, and they reveal the map (in a similar manner to Breath of the Wild). After explaining about the Towers, Purah then gives you the Paraglider.
The Paraglider is super useful because it allow you to jump from great heights, and open uip the glider to safely get down to the ground. Up until this point you’ve had to use the water to dive into, but now you don’t have to worry about that anymore, because you can safely skydive through the air, and open up the glider at the end to break your fall. Given Tears of the Kingdom introduces the Sky Islands, the Paraglider is arguably even more important in Tears of the Kingdom, compared to Breath of the Wild.
