Hero’s Path is a nice little feature in Tears of the Kingdom, that allows you to see your path through Hyrule, plus you can replay where you died. It’s a returning feature from Breath of the Wild’s DLC, although here in Tears of the Kingdom you have to complete a short quest and upgrade the Pura Pad for it. Today I’m going to walkthrough all the steps for how to access Heroes Path, so you can replay your journey through Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom.
To get access to the Hero’s Path, you’ll want to upgrade the Pura Pad for the advanced features, given to you by Robbie. You will need to finish up a couple of quests early in the game to get access to this, and they include “Camera Work in the Depths” and “A Mystery in the Depths”. Both of these quests can be accessed by speaking to Robbie and Josha in Lookout Landing and following the quest steps.
Hateno Village Research Lab quest
You want to get to the point where you fix Robbie’s Balloon at the end of “A Mystery in the Depths”, so Robbie can return to Hateno Village. Once you do this you’ll be able to access the Hateno Village Research Lab quest, and this is how to access the various upgrades to the Pura Pad, including the Travel Medallion. Make your way to Hateno Village from Lookout Landing, and have a chat with Robbie. He’ll explain the advanced features that are available.
How to get Hero’s Path
To get Hero’s Path you’ll need data from 15 Shrines. Hopefully by now you’ll have completed 15 Shrines, and it’ll be a simply matter of chatting with Robbie again. To access Hero’s Path, bring up the map screen and press X, plus you can toggle on/off the feature too. You can watch your path from the very start and it saves up to 256 hours of gameplay. This means it’ll track the last 265 hours, and any more than that it’ll save the latest data. While it won’t imporve your gameplay or help you in battles, hero’s path is a very cool feature, and I’m glad it’s in the game from the start this time in Tears of the Kingdom.
Let me know in the comments what you think of the Hero’s Path.
