The hover bike is most likely the easiest Zonai Vehicle to build in Tears of the Kingdom, and it makes traveling across Hyrule a breeze. It’s quick to build and doesn’t drain your battery super fast, so you can get where you need to go without worrying too much abiout enemies. Today I am going to show you how to put together the hover bike, so you can fly around Hyrule easily in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
There are plenty of benefits to the hover bike
- Only 3 parts – All you need for this are 2 fans and a steering stick, both are easy to find early in the game
- Doesn’t drain battery – The hover bike doesn’t eat your energy meter like other Zonai devices, and if you need to top up then you can do by consuming a Zonai Charge, or by wearing the Zonai armor
- Helps you fly – The hover bike allows you to fly above the trees, but you’re not too high and out of control, high enough to get out the way of enemies.
- Easy to control – Given it’s small and the orientation of the hover bike, it’s easy to control and steer
- Durable – if you run out of energy, you’ll fall out of the sky, but don’t worry it’s pretty durable.
How to build a Hover Bike
For the hove rbike you’ll need 3 items; 2 fans and a Steering Stick. You want to place the steer stick on floor, then attach a fan on either end, for example on the north and south points, similar to a motorbike. You’ll want to angle the Zonai fans at a 30-45 degree angle down to provide the forward and upward momentum. Check it out one screen for how to put this thing together.
Once you have done this, then it’s a simple matter of hopping on and going where you need to go.
Zonai Devices for the Hover Bike
Here’s what you need to build the hover bike.
Fans
The fan Zonai Device can be found on The Great Sky Island. There are a couple of Zonai Depensers there which give you fans, and you want to deposit some Zonai Charges in there, which you get from defeating Zonai Constructs. Here’s a couple of dispensers which give you fans.
- The Gutanbac Shrine Device Dispenser (Great Sky Island)
- The Nachoyah Shrine Device Dispenser (Great Sky Island)
Steering Stick
The Steering Stick Zonai Device can be found southeast of Necluda Sky Archipelago, on the Kumamayn Shrine island. There’s a Zonai Device dispenser south of the island and you can get to this very early in Tears of the Kingdom. Ideally you want to access the Shrine here, so you can quickly teleport if you need to restock on Steering Sticks.
