One of the main resources you’ll need in the game is rupees so you can buy things from various vendors. Rupees are the cash equivalent in Hyrule and you’ll want to start picking up all rupees you can find early in the game. Today I want to highlight how to get rupees fast in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom.

Cut the grass

Even though Zelda doesn’t have a sword all the time like Link, she still has a spin attack which can be used to cut grass and get rid of bushes, much like Link before her in previous top-down Zelda games. Cutting the grass is one tried and testing way of finding rupees. Therefore anytime you see a patch of grass make sure you are cutting it down to find rupees. The Ignizol Echo can help you cut, or burn loads of grass all at the same time, therefore use the Ignizol Echo to burn large patches of grass to help unearth the hidden rupees in the grass.

Selling smoothies

Selling your smoothies is a good way to make fast rupees. You can get a load of mangoes from the Oasis in Gerudo Desert and this is an easy way to get ingredients for smoothies. Complete the Tough Mango minigame. Then make a Mixed Tough Smoothie with some mangoes from the game. Each Tough mango Smoothie gets you 50 rupees and you can sell them around the smoothie shops in Hyrule.

Farm rupees with Crows

Crows are a great way of finding rupees. You can get the crow echo to the east of Gerudo Desert. When you unleash crows, they have the chance to find loads of rupees on their first attack. Crows are great because they also pick up the rupees for you too. You can target your enemies with the ZL button, then unleash Crows for easier controls. Be careful if you are fighting crows, because they will try and steal your rupees.

Open chests

Opening chests is another way to get rupees, you’ll find chests out there in the world plus also in dungeons too. Often hard to reach chests will have 20 or 50 rupees in them.

Sell Golden Eggs

Golden Eggs are very valuable, they sell for 150 rupees. You can find golden eggs in chests in Dungeons, plus from side quests, and around Hyrule. You will want to keep some Golden Eggs for making smoothies, but it’s also a very fast way of getting rupees if you sell them.
