Outfits in Echoes of Wisdom can provide useful gameplay benefits, like recovering health quicker when sleeping, plus being able to talk to cats around Hyrule. Some outfits you’ll come across by progressing the main story, some are rewarded at the end of key side quests.
You can easily change outfits by going to the menu and then the equipment tab and scrolling down to all unlocked outfits. Once there you can easily switch between outfits nice and quickly.
Here are all the outfits you can get:
- Disguise
- Royal Travel Attire
- Dancing Outfit
- Silk Pajamas
- Cat Clothes
- Stamp Suit
- Green Tunic
- Red Tunic
- Blue Attire
- Black Cat Clothes
Disguise
Bonus: Hides Zelda’s identity as a princess.
Location: This is the first outfit you’ll receive in Echoes of Wisdom and you do so automatically during your escape from Hyrule Castle in the prologue. Impa gives Zelda this disguise to help her evade the forces hunting the princess down as she tries to figure out exactly what’s happening to Hyrule.
Royal Travel Attire
Bonus: None.
Location: The Royal Travel Attire is another outfit you’ll receive automatically as you progress through Echoes of Wisdom’s storyline. For this outfit, you need to complete the game’s fourth dungeon – Hyrule Castle – and then the King of Hyrule will give Zelda the set of clothes during a cutscene.
Dancing Outfit
Bonus: Increases spin area.
Location: To earn the Dancing Outfit you need to complete the third stage of the Mango Rush mini-game at the oasis in the Gerudo Desert. This stage is called ‘Ultimate seeds’ and becomes available after you’ve completed the fourth dungeon, Hyrule Castle.
Silk Pajamas
Bonus: Recover hearts faster when sleeping on a bed.
Location: If you want to add the Silk Pajamas to your clothing collection in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, then you need to wait for the ‘Dohna’s Challenge’ side quest to become available. When it does, you’ll be able to find Dohna on the eastern side of Gerudo Town near the town wall.
After accepting the quest, head to a building on the western side of the town’s second level. Once inside you’ll have to avoid the Gerudo guards much like how you avoid the ones back in Hyrule Castle. Make sure to use a variety of Echoes to avoid being caught and, if needed, distract the guards. When you reach the end of the room, you’ll find the chest containing the Silk Pajamas.
Cat Clothes
Bonus: Can speak to cats.
Location: To get the Cat Clothes you need to wait for the ‘Questioning the Local Cats’ side quest to become available in Kakariko Village. You’ll know when it is as the old man standing near the well in the centre of the village will have a side quest available for you.
After talking to him, head down to the village shop and talk to the woman outside. Now you need to visit the windmill in the northern section of the village and use the Grilled Fish Echo to make the cat move. If you don’t have the Grilled Fish Echo, then you need to have at least started the ‘Deliver the Grilled Fish’ side quest in Seesyde Village.
Once fed, the cat will leave its spot allowing you to use a Holmill Echo on the patch of dirt in front of the windmill to get the Secret Stash. The woman will then turn up and give you the Cat Clothes. You’re now free to continue the ‘Questioning the Local Cats’ side quest if you like or you can just run about Hyrule in cat cosplay.
Stamp Suit
Bonus: None.
Location: Find every Stamp Stand hidden across Hyrule. There are 25 Stamp Stands in total and you can find them all in our Stamp Rally locations guide.
Green Tunic
Bonus: None.
Location: Unlocked by completing all the challenges at the Slumber Dojo in Kakariko Village.
Red Tunic
Bonus: None.
Location: Unlocked by using any Link Amiibo after completing the Hyrule Castle dungeon.
Blue Attire
Bonus: None.
Location: Unlocked by using any Zelda Amiibo, including Shiek, after completing the Hyrule Castle dungeon. Check out our Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo guide to learn when you unlock the ability to use Amiibos and the other rewards you can earn.
Black Cat Clothes
